2023 Dram Shop Limits

The dram shop liability limits increase every single year. The increase is based on the consumer price index. The 2023 liability limits were recently published and apply to all final judgments or settlements awarded on or after January 20, 2023. They are as follows:

• The liability limits for injury to a person or property shall not exceed $82,804.58.

• The liability limits for loss of means of support or loss of society shall not exceed $101,205.60.
